The Most Terrifying and Wonderful Dream

Jesus Christ Is King

December 25 – Christmas. Christians throughout our planet celebrate the birth of Jesus of Nazareth, the Christ.

The message of Jesus Christ as King can be observed in several verses throughout the Bible. One verse is John 18:37 – “Therefore Pilate said to him, ‘So you are a king?’ Jesus answered, ‘You say that I am a king. For this I have been born, for this I have come into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who is of truth hears my voice.” Another verse is located in Revelation 19:11 – “On his robe and on his thigh he had this name written: King of Kings and Lord of Lords.”

Christ the King has been used as the name for churches, schools, seminaries, hospitals, and religious institutions. In the liturgical calendar for the Roman Rite of the Catholic Church there is celebrated a Feast of Christ the King. Also celebrating the Feast of Christ the King are the Lutheran, Anglican, Methodists, Nazarene, Reformed and United Protestant churches.

I have always been grounded in the Christian faith. The phrase, “Jesus Christ is King” is a phrase that I had been aware of but never actually verbalized. That abruptly changed some twenty-nine years ago. At that time, those four words came out of my mouth without thinking. I was under extreme duress. Those four words turned out to be my protection against a most ominous approaching spiritual entity.

The Mother Of All Dreams

I was sprawled out on the living room couch late at night. I was watching a college basketball game on tv. As I was very sleepy, using the remote control, I remember turning off the tv. It was one of those situations where I was so very tired that I did not even feel like getting up to go to bed. I thought to myself, I’m just going to rest here for ten minutes and then I’ll head to bed. Of course, I promptly dozed off to a deep sleep.

I almost never remember my dreams after I wake up. Even the dreams that I do remember ultimately fade away. I tried keeping a dream diary a few times but gave up after a while. It was too much work and had to be done immediately upon waking when the last thing I want to do is a lot of writing.. The dream that I had that one night some twenty-nine years ago however, is a dream that is permanently engraved into my memory. There was no need to write it down. I remember every single second of it and every last detail. It was as real as anything that I have ever experienced during my seventy-two years of life.

An Electric Chill Down My Spine

In my dream, I was laying down on the living room couch in exactly the manner in which I had fallen asleep after turning off the television. Everything in the house was quiet. Light from the street lamp outside shined dimly through the living room picture window. In my dream, I was awake on the couch, jut laying on the couch.

Suddenly, an electric chill went straight down my spine. I looked diagonally to the right to the stairs that led to the second level of the house. My eyes saw a grey luminous mist. It had the general outline of a human being but without any real definition or features of any kind except for the face of a man. Not a monster or demon, just the nondescript face of a man.

You can call it an entity or a presence or a spirit or whatever you want but it was there and the evil essence that it gave off was unmistakable. It was midway down the stairs and I intuitively felt it was coming for me. This presence had dark eyes and they were focused directly on me. Telepathically I sensed the thought that it sent out to me – “There is no escape from me.”

Totally Frozen In Fear

Whatever this thing was, I felt it was totally malevolent in nature. It wasn’t coming to kiss me good night. As soon as I saw it on the steps, I felt that I was in dire danger. I completely felt the essence of its complete contempt for me and any ability I had to resist it. My entire body, from head to toe was literally frozen in fear. I couldn’t move. I was paralyzed. It was coming for me and whatever its intent was, I knew it was bad, very bad. And I could not move. It was the type of off-the-chart terror that can cause a heart attack.

Doomed With No Escape

I was on the couch paralyzed and powerless to fend off this malevolent presence. It was the mother of all nightmares. I have had nightmares where when I was about to be killed or captured, I just woke up. Aliens or criminals or some other type of bad guys would be chasing me. I would have one close call escape after another (like in Indiana Jones movies). Then at some point in the dream I would actually have the thought, “Alright, enough of this bullshit, I’m waking up now”. Not this time however. In this dream, there was no escape, no waking up.

Four Words

I was screwed. The thought in my head was “So this is how it all ends”. The malevolent entity was at the bottom of the stairs, in no particular hurry because of its complete control of the situation. At that point, from my most innermost part of my being, came the words out of my mouth, “Jesus Christ is King”. I had absolutely no thought beforehand of saying those words. I did not think “What am I going to do?” The words just came out of me without thinking. Since my vocal cords were partially paralyzed as well, I was barely able to get the words out. I spoke them slowly “Jesus…Christ…Is…King” somewhat in the manner that a stroke victim may struggle to speak after a stroke.

As soon as those words came out of my mouth, the evil presence stopped its advance toward me. Then, immediately, in a more pronounced manner, I spoke those four words again, “Jesus Christ is King”. This caused the entity to shrink backward and begin to lose presence. I followed up with a third, more forceful “Jesus Christ is King”. Intuitively I knew that I was in possession of the sword and shield that it was unable to resist. So it left. After the third pronouncement, It vacated the scene and was gone.

The Unseen World

As soon as the malevolent force departed, I opened my eyes and woke up. It hit me immediately that I was in the exact same position on the couch awake as I was in the dream. I was wearing the exact same clothes. Everything in the living room was exactly the same as the dream. Even the light from the outside street light shining through the picture window was exactly the same. My immediate thought was “What the f*** was that!?” Was I in the Twilight Zone or something? I was shaken by the experience. I turned on a living room lamp and walked to the kitchen to get a glass of water.

As I walked past the stairs, I stopped for a moment, looking at where the entity was. I sat on the couch a short while in the quiet of the night pondering what I had just experienced. At that time a thought came into my head – “We live in two worlds, seen and unseen”. I prayed a short and succinct “Thank You” before going up to the bedroom. I came to a simple yet profound conclusion – the dream was no dream. It was real.

The Return – Twenty Years Later

Flash forward twenty years later to the year 2016. I was now living in another house. It was a one story house. I slept in one bedroom. My oldest son, who lives with me, was sleeping in the other bedroom. I had the habit of keeping a forty watt bulb on in a living room lamp at night. I slept with the bedroom door open. This was for easier access to the hallway bathroom at night as my enlarged prostate was inevitably going to cause a couple of trips there during the course of the night. In the intervening twenty years, I never for a moment forgot my encounter with the evil entity. I even kept a crucifix on the wall above my bed that had been in my mother’s room when she was alive. I was asleep in bed. All of a sudden, in my dream, I was awake, laying in bed. I looked at my bedroom doorway. Standing there in the hallway, just outside the doorway was the same evil entity from twenty years prior. The exact same grey luminescence. You may wonder how I could possibly know since the spirit had no discernable features. I can only respond that I just knew. It was a completely intuitive knowing, no logic, just a knowing.

Same Threat – Different Response

This time however, I had a different reaction than my first encounter twenty years prior. Just as before, it was standing there, observing me with an aura of contempt and malevolence. This time however my memory banks kicked in immediately. No paralysis. I was not frozen in fear as before. I said out loud, “Oh, it’s you again.” Then I followed up with the very same phrase of protection that I had used before – “Jesus Christ is King”. At the sound of those words, it froze. I immediately followed up with a second “Jesus Christ is King”. After that second salvo, it started backing away. I felt it was losing energy. One more time I repeatedly loudly, “Jesus Christ is King”. With that third pronouncement, the malevolent entity was gone. This time I knew from the start that the power of Jesus Christ would protect me.

Freedom From Fear

I was aware of the malevolent nature of this being. This second time however, I was free of fear. In fact, in this second experience, after the departure of the entity, I said aloud to myself, “And that takes care of that”. In my dream, I turned to my side, my back to the hallway and went back to sleep. And then I opened my eyes and woke up. Everything in my bedroom was precisely the same as in my dream. The bed, my position on the bed, the bedsheet and blanket, my bed clothes, the bureau, the wall hangings, the quiet of the house, even the light from the living room lamp. Not one thing was different now that I was awake, than it was in my dream. I then said, “Thank you Lord, now I’m going back to sleep” and proceeded to close my eyes and do just that.

Merry Christmas to all reading this. May you have a wonderful new year of manifesting beautiful things in your life in 2026!

Jesus Christ Is King – Deliverer From Evil

Origin Of The Term – Jesus Christ is King

December 25 is almost upon us. Christians all over the world celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. Have you ever heard the phrase “Jesus Christ is King”? The message of Jesus Christ as King can be observed in several Bible verses. One is John 18:37 – ” Therefore Pilate said to him, ‘So you are a king?’ Jesus answered, ‘ You say correctly that I am a king. For this I have been born, and for this I have come into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears my voice.” Another is found in Revelation 19:11 where it is stated that the title given to Jesus Christ is “King of Kings and Lord of Lords.”

Christ the King is frequently used as a name for churches, schools, seminaries, hospitals and religious institutions. There is even celebrated a Feast of Christ the King in the liturgical calendar. The feast is a relatively recent addition to the liturgical calendar instituted in 1925 for the Roman Rite of the Catholic Church. Lutheran, Anglican, Moravian, Methodist, Nazarene, Reformed and United Protestant churches also celebrate the Feast of Christ the King.

My beliefs over the course of my life have always been grounded in the Christian faith. The phrase “Jesus Christ is King” is a phrase that I was familiar with but had never actually spoken. That abruptly changed some 25 years ago. At that time, the words “Jesus Christ is King” came forth without thinking from my mouth and from my soul. Those words provided me with a shield of protection against an approaching and ominous evil spiritual entity.

Dream Number One

I had been sprawled out on the living room sofa late at night watching college basketball on television. Using the remote, I remember turning off the tv. It was one of those situations where I was so very tired that I did not even feel like getting up. I just said to myself “I’m just gonna rest my eyes here for ten minutes and then I’ll head up to bed”. Of course, I promptly dozed off.

I rarely remember my dreams. The dream that I had that night however is burned into my memory. In my dream I was laying on the living room sofa where I had fallen asleep. Everything in the house was quiet. I was awake in my dream.

A Cold Chill Down My Spine

All at once I got an icy cold chill shooting down my spine, from neck to tail bone. I looked over to my right to the stairs that led to the second level of the house. My eyes saw a grey luminous mist. It had the general outline of a human being but without any real definition or features. You can call it a presence or an entity or an energy source or any of a dozen different things. Call it whatever you want. It was there and it was real. It was midway down the steps and was slowly heading toward me. The entity made no sound whatsoever. It moved without any movement of arms or legs.

Deep Doo-Doo

Whatever it was, it was pure malevolence in nature. I intuitively knew immediately that I was in deep doo-doo. I felt the essence of its total contempt for me. My body was literally frozen in fear. I could not physically move. I was paralyzed. It is difficult to imagine that something such a luminous mist can emit such an evil presence but I felt an intense hatred directed at me from the entity. I knew it was coming for me. Whatever its intent, it was not going to be anything good. I knew if it reached me it would have been bad for me. Very, very bad. Like maybe dying from a heart attack caused by terror.

Since I was frozen, I could not run away. It was a nightmare’s nightmare. I have actually had nightmares where aliens were chasing me. In these dreams I would have one close call after another (ala Indiana Jones). At some point in the dream I finally said “Alright, enough of this bullshit” and I actually woke up, thus escaping my dilemma.

No Escape Route

In this dream there was no such escape route. I was truly fucked. Then, as the malevolent being reached the next to last step at the bottom of the stairs, there came out of my heart and out of my mouth, from the depths of my soul, the words, “Jesus Christ is King”. I had no thoughts beforehand of saying it. I did not think “what should I do”. The phrase just came out of me and just barely at that. Even my vocal chords were partially frozen in fear. However feebly I whispered the words “Jesus….. Christ….. is….. King”, I spoke them with conviction..

At the sound of those words, the evil presence stopped in its tracks. Then, in a more pronounced manner I immediately followed up with the same spoken phrase, “Jesus Christ is King”. This caused the entity to shrink backward and begin to lose presence. Without even thinking, I immediately followed up with a third even more forceful, almost shouting “Jesus Christ is King” intuitively knowing that I was in possession of the kryptonite of the malevolent entity. After the third pronouncement, it vacated the scene and was gone.

Dream And Reality – There Was No Difference

At the same moment that the malevolent force departed, I opened my eyes and immediately woke up from my “dream”. It hit me at once however that I was in the exact same position on the living room couch as I was in my dream. I was wearing the exact same clothes and everything in the living room was in the exact same place as in the dream. Even the light from the street lamp outside shining through the living room window was exactly the same as in the dream. I was somewhat shaken by the experience and turned on a living room lamp and walked to the adjacent kitchen to get a glass of water.

As I passed the stairs, I just stopped for a moment and stared at the spot where “it” was. I sat on the couch for about fifteen minutes pondering what I had just experienced. Then I prayed a succinct “Thank you Lord” before going up to bed. My conclusion was quite simple yet profound – the dream was no dream. It was as real as real ever gets.

Dream Number Two

Flash forward some twenty years later to 2016. I was now living in a different house. It was a one story house. I slept in one bedroom. My son slept in the second bedroom. I always left a small 40 watt lamp on in the living room at night. I slept with my bedroom door open. The door led to a hallway which led to the bathroom. I knew that at some point during the night that tag team duo of prostate and bladder would be sending me to the bathroom at least once, maybe twice. In those intervening 20 years, I never forgot my encounter with the unseen malevolent energy. I kept a crucifix on the wall above my bed that had been in my mother’s bedroom when she was alive. I figured it couldn’t hurt to have it there if a vampire decided to show up one night.

Anyway, it’s the middle of the night and I am in bed. I look over to the bedroom doorway. Standing there is the very same evil entity that I encountered 20 years ago. The same grey luminescence You may wonder how I could possibly know that to be a fact. I can only tell you that I knew. I just knew. It was an intuitive knowing. I have no idea how I was able to know, but I knew.

The Second Time – A Different Response

This time however, I reacted differently than my first encounter some twenty years prior. As before, it seemed to be just standing there, observing me with hatred and contempt. I sensed that it was about to head toward me as I lay in my bed. This time however, my response was different. I was not frozen with fear. I just said out loud, “Oh it’s you again.” Then I followed that up with the same phrase that I had used twenty years before, “Jesus Christ is King.” At the sound of those words, the entity froze. I followed up with a second “Jesus Christ is King”. At that second salvo, it started backing away. I could sense it was losing energy. One more time I repeated loudly, “Jesus Christ is King”. With that final pronouncement, the malevolent entity departed – poof- gone. The difference this time was that I knew right from the start that the power of Jesus Christ would protect me.

A Peaceful Sleep – Free of Fear

I was aware of the pure essence of malevolence of the being. However this time I did not fear. In fact, in this second dream, after the departure of the entity, I said aloud to myself, “And that takes care of that”. I turned on my side, back to the hallway and went back to sleep. And then I opened my eyes and woke up. Everything around me in my bedroom was exactly the same as the dream. The bed, my position on the bed, the bedsheet and blanket, my bed clothes, the wall hangings, the bureau, the light from the living room lamp, the quiet of the house. This time however I understood. My shield of protection “Jesus Christ is King” was something that the evil presence could not overcome. I then said, “Thank you Lord, now I’m goin’ back to sleep” and proceeded to do just that.

A New Birth of You

Christmas — The time of the year that Christians worldwide celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. The topic of this week’s post will take a look at those words that Jesus spoke to Nicodemus about a person being born a second time. This phrase of being born again has been tossed around by many different groups in many different directions.

Let’s take a look at that nocternal encounter between Jesus and Nicodemus by looking in scripture at the third chapter of John (NIV):

“Now there was a Pharisee, a man named Nicodemus, who was a member of the ruling Jewish council. He came to Jesus at night and said, ‘Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the signs you are doing if God were not with him.’

Jesus replied, ‘Very truly I tell you, no one can see the Kingdom of God unless they are born again?’

‘How can someone be born when they are old? Nicodemus asked. ‘Surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother’s womb to be born?’

Jesus answered, ‘Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God unless they re born of water and the spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the spirit gives birth to spirit.”

Have you ever thought about what this being “born again” stuff is all about as far as your own life is concerned.? Being within the true Kingdom of God sure sounds like a place that a person would want to be within. Or does it just sound like a bunch of mumbo-jumbo to you? What is your take on this statement from scripture?

There are many preachers, pastors and posers who will be more than happy to tell you what they think (and in turn, what you should think) about this “second birth thing”. You are a soverign human being. Make your own decision on the matter. Ask. Seek. Knock. I make zero attempt to say this about it or to say that about it. The only thing that I will say is this — if you have never really thought about it, why not start the gears of your mind in motion about it. The reason being that it will definitely be to your best benefit to know more about it. If you google it, there are millions of citations containing the phrase “born again”.

Look into this on your own. Don’t be afraid to seek spiritual guidance on it through prayer. Ask. Seek. Knock. Use the miracle of the internet and the miracle of prayer to look into this matter as Christians all over the world celebrate the miracle of the birth of Jesus Christ.
