I Really, Really Love Autumn

Le Quattro Stagioni

I have always enjoyed the variety involved in the changing of the seasons. I am blessed to live in the state of New Jersey. Within my state, every year there is a clear-cut difference between each of the four seasons. The cold frostiness and quiet of winter. In spring, there is warming and renewal. Summer brings sunshine and swimming. Then topping things off is the cooling and pleasantness of autumn. Each definitely has its own unique personality.

The Four Seasons (Le Quattro Stagioni in Italian) is a famous group of four violin concertos by the Baroque composer Antonio Vivaldi. These concertos give musical expression to each of the four seasons. These concertos are probably the best known of all his works. They have been used as background music in countless movies, tv shows and even commercials.

Just as each of the concertos has its own “personality” so to speak, so do the actual four seasons that you experience – winter, spring, summer and autumn. Of course, where you live in the world has a lot to do with the personality of the seasons in your locale. A person living in Arizona or Florida obviously has a different experience than a person living in Maine or Minnesota.

That Special Moment

Every year, there always comes the arrival of that special moment that quickens the beat of my heart. It is that moment, during one of the days in September, that I perceive that my love, Autumn, has come back to me for three wonderful months.

It could be a little nip in the early morning air. Perhaps it is observing a flock of migrating birds. It may be the first sighting of pumpkins for sale at a local farmers market. The first viewing of a football game may do it. Or it could be something as banal as a sign advertising the opening of a Halloween superstore. Whatever the moment happens to be, I am thrilled that my love has now come back to me. For three glorious months, I get to luxuriate in the return of the crème de la crème of seasons, autumn.

My First Time

I think that I felt the first stirrings of my lifelong love affair with autumn when I was just a pipsqueak of five years old. We piled into the car and my Mom drove me and my brother out to a roadside farm stand that was connected to a large apple orchard. We bought a basketful of apples. In those days, they gave you the basket along with the apples. We also splurged and got a gallon of freshly-squeezed apple cider. Even though it emptied her purse, we also got a nice, big pumpkin.

After our purchase, Mom drove to a nearby peaceful, wooded park. We had ourselves a nice little picnic. The weather was pure autumn. The air was crisp and very comfortable. All the humidity of summer was gone. The day was gloriously bathed in sunshine. The leaves on the trees were showing off with their annual pageant of colors, seeming to shine in the golden October sunlight.

Those Winesap Apples

It was a day of apples as we sunk our teeth into those juicy, tart Winesap apples. Mom had brought some paper cups from home. We savored some of that apple cider. Mom shook some cinnamon from a little tin into her cider but I wanted mine plain. We ate our baloney and cheese sandwiches that Mom had packed.

Later, we watched a large gaggle of geese flying overhead in perfect “V” formation, honking as they flew to someplace else. In the distance, at the edge of a clearing where the tree line started, we spied a fox. After we were done eating, my brother told us a story about an old house in the area where we lived that was supposed to be haunted. That really got my five year old imagination going.

When my brother was done telling the story, he got the football out of the car. He and I tossed it around, practicing “going out for passes”. Being older, his passes were much better than mine. Afterward, I walked over to some trees and grabbed a bunch of different colored leaves off the ground for my “collection”.

Even though I had the pea brain of a five-year old, I distinctly remember everything about that beautiful day. As we got into the car to leave, I remember thinking to myself, “I really love autumn”.

Oh Those Marvelous Charms

Just as a finely cut diamond has many facets to it, so does autumn.

Perfect weather. Cooler but not cold temps. Humidity goes on extended vacation. The unique crispness of the air. Flannel shirts and sweaters. Blankets at night.

Nature performs its annual show. The trees do a strip tease. The leaves go out in a blaze of glory, changing over to colorful flowers before they drop. After they have dropped and dried, the leaves sound off one last time with that crunch as you walk on them. The rustling sound of dried leaves as they are caressed by the unique autumn wind. Watching a squirrel find and then meticulously bury an acorn. The famous “v” of migrating birds. Ripe apples right off the tree. Apple cider, both cold and hot. Pumpkins of all sizes and shapes..

The sports. As kids, we always followed the sports seasons, playing neighborhood pick-up games of each sport during its corresponding season. The World Series. The start of football season. Two-hand touch football pick-up games in the street. Basketball season also gets its start in autumn. Playing games on a dirt court with a backboard affixed to a tree.

A new school year. New teachers, new classes, new students, new experiences. College activities. Another step closer to the diploma.

Less annoyances. Those pesky houseflies, gnats and mosquitoes finally go away. Good riddance. No more roaring lawnmowers. You can turn off the noisy room air conditioners and put the fans away.

The holidays. Octoberfest and those tasty autumnal beers. Sweets, costume parties and jack-o-lanterns at Halloween. Thanksgiving. Turkey and gravy with stuffing and all the rest. Pumpkin pie with whipped cream for dessert. No gift-giving, just thanks-giving. Gratitude.

Autumn – Vibrant Yet Calming

Autumn is in my blood. I feel like it is a part of me. Autumn presents an energy-filled potent vibrancy. Yet, at the same time, it has a wonderful calming presence. Vibrant is defined as “pulsating with energy”. Calming is defined as “tranquil and quiet”. It would appear that they are contradictory in their respective natures. Nevertheless, they are both keenly felt when autumn makes its annual appearance. Perhaps it is a feeling that cannot be properly described using words. You have to feel it. And yes, it is a good feeling.

At a job that I worked at for twenty years, part of the day I sat at a desk near the facility water cooler. At the section of the building where I worked, I was the only one there. Thus, I was able to have the radio on without bothering anyone.

One morning, a man who worked at the other end of the building, walked over to the water cooler. He proceeded to fill up his mug with water. At the time that he was there, one of the Brandenburg concertos was playing on the radio. As he was filling up his mug, he said to me, “I guess that music is real relaxing for you.” I responded, “Oh yeah, but also invigorating at the same time.” He just smiled in response. The look on his face however spelled out “Well, it’s not my cup of tea, but I guess different strokes for different folks”. Autumn is in perfect attunement with my own inner wiring.

You Are As A Leaf

Recently, I was seated in my vehicle in a parking lot, taking a short break, as I enjoyed a hot cup of Wawa coffee. This lot abutted a small group of trees that were directly in front of my car. As I contently sipped my coffee, every so often a leaf would flutter to the ground, joining the others who had already left the tree. About a half-dozen or so landed on my windshield. It got me to musing about the similarities between those leaves and human beings.

In one sense, we humans mimic the cycle of life of a leaf. In spring, the various branches of the tree start budding with little sprouts. It takes them a while, but the sprouts eventually grow into to full fledged leaves. In summer, the leaves are in full growth. They fulfill their necessary functions of photosynthesis and transpiration. They provide shade and show off the grandeur of the tree. In the autumn, one by one, the leaves end their cycle of life, going out in a blaze of glory before dropping to the earth. Here they decompose until there is nothing left. In the spring, the cycle starts over again with new leaves.

Last year’s leaves are soon forgotten. The life of a human follows the general course of the leaf. You are born as an infant and ultimately grow into an adult. During the prime of your life, you engage in a number of necessary functions. At the end of your life, you are able to display the wisdom of your years of experience, and then you die, dropping off the tree of humanity. Your body ultimately decomposes and in one or two generations time, you are completely forgotten as if you never existed.

And Yet, You Are Not A Leaf

And yet, at the same time, you are not a leaf. You are a human being created in the image of the one true God, the one true power. You are in the very image of God because of your spiritual and intellectual nature. You possess a thinking mind. A thinking mind that is fully capable, through the infinite power of imaginative belief, of shaping the very reality around you. As you conceive an idea in your thinking mind, as you then truly believe your conception to be true, so then you truly receive. Your acceptance of doubt however always unfortunately cancels the deal.

If Autumn Was A Woman

Each season of le quattro stagioni brings its own unique vibe. Winter – huddle by the fireplace, reflect on things behind and things ahead. Spring – new beginnings, renewal, return of warmth. Summer – balmy days of blue skies and sunshine. Autumn – live fully now as all living things come to an end someday. The leaves drop from the tree one by one. The days slowly grow shorter and shorter. Autumn teaches you not to take any day of life for granted. Let not any day pass by without living in a manner that makes use of everything that is inside you, your real self. Drop the fear. Drop the doubt. Don’t be afraid. Let your true self, beloved by your Creator, come fully to the surface.

This is not some generic autumn fluff piece. You are reading a true love letter. If autumn was a woman, and told me that she could only be with me three months a year, I would still marry her in a heartbeat. That precious three months would fill me with enough inner joy to easily last through the other nine months until her return.

I really, really love autumn.

Conceive. Believe. Receive.

Get Really Powerful With Constant Surveillance

1984

One of the most bone chilling books that was ever written was the novel, 1984, by English author, George Orwell. Written in 1949, the events of the book take place in a dystopian future Great Britain in the year 1984. In this suffocating totalitarian world, the societal controllers mercilessly control the population. Every facet of a person’s existence is under surveillance. This is done through a variety of methods.

One method of control is through a relentless system of closed circuit television (CCTV) surveillance. Every room of every building has a CCTV camera that is monitored by the controllers. Every word is monitored. All actions that a person takes is observed by cameras. Where I used to work we had cameras watching everybody. The joke was that one day as you finish with your business in a men’s room stall, you’ll hear a loudspeaker say, “Hey there, you’re using too much toilet paper!”

In the book 1984, all individuals must follow the prescribed ways of the controllers in every way. At home, at work, at play. Those individuals who are observed to rebel against the established order are “dealt with” by the controllers. And not in a good way. And don’t ever get sent to Room 101. Those who come out of Room 101 never, ever rebel again.

In the world of 1984, you are under surveillance twenty four hours a day, seven days a week, fifty two weeks a year, until you die. One could very well say that living a life like that is already death.

So why all the surveillance cameras in this nightmare world of 1984? One word answer – control. If the government controllers see something that they do not like, they take immediate action to change it. Through constant surveillance they control the population.

Surveillance Cameras Are Everywhere

What does the term surveillance actually mean? Wikipedia describes surveillance as “the monitoring of behavior, activities or information for the purpose of intelligence gathering, influencing, managing or directing”. Probably the most common method of surveillance is the use of CCTV cameras. Other methods include the use of satellite imagery, wiretapping, intercepting internet traffic, postal intercepts, drones and old fashioned observation by a human.

The latest figures on the proliferation of surveillance cameras reveal that an estimated one billion such cameras are in place in 2022. Fifty percent of those are employed in China. That is one camera for every eight people in the word. The numbers are exponentially increasing. By 2030, experts estimate an astounding thirteen billion surveillance cameras will be in place. That will be one and a half surveillance cameras for every human being on the planet!

What are the reasons for the exponential increase in the use of surveillance cameras? The number one reason provided by the installers of the cameras is: security. It may be to identify suspicious persons around sensitive government facilities. Cities and states place surveillance cameras in public places in an effort to reduce crime. Private businesses, such as banks, use surveillance cameras to deter would be robbers. The local liquor store even has surveillance cameras everywhere, both inside and outside the store. They even have one watching the dumpster out back (Sorry fella, no dumpster diving at our dumpster).

The basic reason for the placement of surveillance cameras anywhere is to watch. To watch for anything that is not right and then to respond to said situation promptly and effectively.

King Solomon Advocated Constant Surveillance

King Solomon was a king of ancient Israel. He ruled Israel some three thousand years ago. Solomon is primarily remembered for two things: wisdom and wealth. He wrote the book of Proverbs. Proverbs is a book in the third section (Ketuvim) of the Hebrew Bible. It is also included in the Christian Old Testament. Within the Book of Proverbs is the verse Proverbs 4:23. This verse highlights the urgency for a person to have constant surveillance of the thoughts of their mind.

There are many translations of Proverbs 4:23. The first reference is the translation from the Ketuvim. This comes from the website Sefaria. The verse is as follows: “More than all that you guard, guard your mind. For it is the source of life”.

Another translation of the verse comes from the translator, A Faithful Version. This is a translation that is faithful to the true meaning of the original Hebrew and Greek. It emphasizes word for word accuracy. This translation is as follows: “Above all, guard the door of your mind with diligence, for out of it are the issues of life”.

With Proverbs 4:23, Solomon was explaining that the Kingdom of God is within you. Everything in your life starts with the thoughts of your mind. Everything. The thoughts of your mind that you cling to, lead to how you feel inside. How you feel leads to your inner beliefs. Your inner beliefs then create the outer circumstances of your life.

Solomon knew. He is warning you to pay attention. Be aware of the thoughts that enter your mind. All day. Every day. Regret, fear, doubt, resentment. Every manner of self-harming thought must not be allowed to linger. If you allow them to take up residence, it will ultimately result in something nasty in outer circumstances of your life.

Thoughts Are Things

Thoughts are things. By themselves however, they manifest nothing. Thoughts require imaginative belief. The addition of imaginative belief allows thoughts to flower into reality. Thoughts. Feelings. Beliefs. Reality.

Take the example of you receiving a new car. A thought about a new car is simply that – a thought about a new car. For the thought to conceive, it must be married. There must be an accompanying spiritual sensation.

You have a thought about owning a new car. Or you have a thought that you are never going to be able to get a new car. The choice of which thought you nurture is yours.

If you choose the first thought, then begin the imaginative process. Actually feel the seat under your buttocks as you start the car. Smell the aroma of the new car. Feel the handling of the new car as you drive it. Admire the texture and color of the exterior. Marvel at all the features in the interior of the car. Listen to the dynamite sound system of the car. Hear the passenger in the car rave about how much they like the car.

Feel your gratitude that you now have a beautiful car to drive for many years. You have a car that meets all your needs. You have a car that in your old way of thinking you could not see any way that you would ever get it. And now it is yours. Damn, even I am getting excited and thankful just writing about it.

Do not concern yourself as to how it will come about. Just go to the end result. Stay in the end result. Things will happen to ultimately to bring about your desired reality, if you are faithful. Keep your thoughts and feelings and belief in the end result.

Over 6,000 A Day

A 2020 research study took place at The Center For Neuroscience Studies, Ontario, Canada. The study authors used brain imaging scans to track when a new thought began in each study participant.

The participants were asked to watch movies. Transitions between events in movies are known to trigger what’s called “thought worms”. These are patterns of brain activity identifying when thoughts come and go in your brain.

The researchers were able to distinguish that the average participant had over 6,000 thoughts per day. The study itself is available online. The title is: “Brain Meta-State Transitions Demarcating Thoughts Across Task Contexts Exposing The Mental Noise Of Trait Neuroticism”.

You think a lot of thoughts every day. Thoughts come. Thoughts go. Be careful which ones you let hang around. Practice Daily Surveillance. Whichever thoughts you allow to take root will subsequently create an accompanying feeling within you. Starve the thoughts that cause havoc. Feed the thoughts leading you unto success. Success is defined as “the achievement of desired results”. For example, “The Kingdom of God is within me. I am an expression of success in every aspect of my life”. Feels good, doesn’t it? When you irrevocably believe it, it feels ever so much better. Guard your thoughts.

A Fateful Chain Reaction

Look again at that last line from the Proverbs verse. The first translation is: “For it is the source of life”. The second translation has: “for out of it are the issues of life”.

Many translations interpose the word mind with the word heart (“guard your heart”). What the heart is, originates in the mind. An actual human heart just pumps blood. What is meant by heart is those thoughts of the mind that lead to feeling (loving thoughts, hateful thoughts, etc.). Feelings then lead to beliefs. Beliefs then lead to you living a life that reflects back to you your beliefs.

What Solomon is saying is that every facet, every aspect, every issuance of your life springs forth from your mind. Once you allow a thought to take hold, the fateful chain reaction begins. When an atom is split, there is a fateful chain reaction. The reaction culminates in either the creation of peaceful energy (nuclear power) or tsunami-like destruction (nuclear bomb). Thus it is with you, my friend. Thus it is with your life. Thought. Thought acceptance and retention (through your free will). Feeling and emotion brought forth as a result of your thought. Thought and feeling culminate in belief. Once the belief is fully rooted, it is ultimately manifested in your outer circumstances. A fateful chain reaction.

A Full Time Job With Zero Days Off

An employer offering a seven day a week full time job with zero days off. Sounds pretty lame, doesn’t it? In your job of guarding your thoughts however, the rewards to you will be beautiful. Well worth your effort. When you are relentless in ignoring detrimental thoughts, they will atrophy and die. If you can’t seem to ignore it, then substitute it with a thought that is beneficial to you. Think about God.

Just like the Chevy Corvette, there is just room for two in your mind – You as the driver and whatever thought you elect to sit next to you. You choose who you want to sit in the Corvette of your mind – empowering thought or disabling thought. It’s your choice. It always has been.

“Above all, guard the door of your mind with diligence, for out of it are the issues of life”.

“More than all that you guard, guard your mind. For it is the source of life”.

Every minute. Every hour. Every day. Every week. Every month. Every year. Every year of your life until your breathe your last breath. Live Proverbs 4: 23. If you choose to do this, you will be delighted with the events that take place in your life. As many times as you fall down along the way, just get up, and then keep on walking in the powerful wisdom of Proverbs 4:23.

Conceive. Believe. Receive.

Do You Know What Truth Is?

The Current State Of Truth

For a moment, let’s look at the current state of “truth” in the world today. All the countries of the world have highly paid specialists devoted to spinning the events of the day. They are hired to spin as truth whatever places their country in the best possible light. When they do actually announce something that actually is what is happening, nobody believes it. Fake news is the order of the day.

Politicians, bless their little conniving hearts, are experts in saying whatever is necessary to maintain their power and status. Whatever is the actual state of events doesn’t matter. It is irrelevant to them. If actual events do not coordinate with their own position on any matter, it is labelled “fake news”. The controllers then make up what they want to feed the public. Then they relentlessly dish it out. They then call the truth of the matter “fake news”. Let’s do an “opposites Rorschach test.” Cold…..Hot. Upper…..Lower. North…..South. Politicians…..Truth.

Now let’s go to the real rulers of the world – corporations. Corporations have two appointed missions. The first is to suck every last dollar that they can out of the public. The second is to suck the very life out of all the minions under its control. When a corporate representative says that they are making a change to “better serve the public”, watch out. Hold on to your wallet because they are really saying “to better serve the corporation.” Mitt Romney says a corporation is a person. If so, a corporation is a person without a soul.

Sigh. Truth is twisted every which way in today’s world. It’s a royal mess. You may find yourself echoing the words of the Roman governor, Pontius Pilate, when he said, “What is truth”?

A Well Known Story

In the book of John, there is related the following well known story. Jesus was arrested by the Jewish leaders in Jerusalem. The charge was blasphemy. They brought him to Pontius Pilate, the Roman governor of that area.

Pilate asked the leaders, “What are the charges against this man”? When he did not get a clear cut answer, he disgustedly told them to go away. He told them to handle the matter under their own laws.

The leaders then answered Pilate. They told him that they wanted Jesus executed. Only Pilate had the authority to allow an execution.

Pilate had the guards bring Jesus in his chambers in the palace. He asked him point blank, “Are you the King of the Jews”?

Jesus replied, “Is that your own idea or did others talk to you about me”?

Pilate replied, “Am I a Jew? Your own people and chief priests handed you over to me. What is it that you have done”?

Jesus replied, ” My kingdom is not of this world. If it were my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by Jewish leaders. But now my Kingdom is from another place”.

“You are a king then”! exclaimed Pilate.

Jesus answered, ” You say that I am a king. In fact, the reason I was born and came into this world was to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.”

To which Pilate gave his famous retort, “What is truth”?

The Rest Of The Story

Ah yes. What is truth? The billion dollar question. Did Pilate say it philosophically? Jestfully? Cynically? Rhetorically? We may never know. But it sure is one helluva question.

To finish the story within the eighteenth chapter, Pilate went out again and told the leaders, “I find no fault in him at all.” Pilate continued, “You have a custom that I should release someone to you at Passover. Do you therefore want me to release to you the ‘King of the Jews’?

Then they all cried again saying, “No, not this man, but Barabbas.” Now Barrabbas was a robber.

The Question Of All Questions

The question “What is Truth”? is indeed the question of all questions. Scripture clearly states that knowing and living the truth will set you free. Free of what you say? Free of the dozens of personal prisons that encapsulate the overwhelming majority of human beings in the world. If it is clearly stated that the truth will set you free, then, it is of paramount importance to you to understand what truth is.

First, let’s see what the Webster dictionary says about the definition of truth. Of course, the first definition that they give is completely useless. It defines truth as, “the state of being true.” Going on to the secondary definition, we see truth being defined as “the body of those events, things and facts that are judged as real.”

Going over to Wikipedia, we find truth defined as “the property of being in accord with accepted fact or reality.”

Various themes, essays and viewpoints of truth have been vigorously debated over the centuries by scholars, philosophers and theologians. Mountains of pages of literature have been written addressing the simple question “What is truth”? Kant. Hegel. Schopenhauer. Nietzsche. Swedenborg. Heidegger. Fromm. And the list goes on and on. Just to read a concise summary of all the themes and viewpoints about the nature of truth is enough to make your head spin.

An Ever Increasing Illumination

Truth is an ever increasing illumination. All things in the world are subject to the imaginative power of mankind. Moses wanted to know what the name of God was. He is told the following (in the book of Exodus): “And God said to Moses, I AM THAT I AM. Say to the children of Israel, I AM has sent me to you.”

In order to create the reality that you desire, you must choose. You must make the choice to walk, to live, to breathe, in the full feeling of I AM. Do you desire good health? Then feel I AM healthy. If you wish to experience success, then feel I AM successful. Want to experience what it is to be a conduit of God’s love, then feel I AM loving. How about desiring some of your God-given power, then feel I AM powerful. And so on in keeping with whatever you desire to experience. The more you feel your I AM to be true, the more natural it becomes to you.

Stay with it. Grow in it. When you get to the point where your I AM is completely natural, it is truth. Truth then materializes into external circumstances. When I say natural, here is what I mean. It is a natural belief of yours that your nose is attached to your face, your hands are attached to your arms, your feet are attached to your legs. You do not have to think or reason or wonder about these things. These beliefs are completely and totally natural to you.

One of the most mind blowing utterances of Jesus is the following” Whatsoever things you desire, when you pray, believe that you have them, and you shall have them.”

Deeper Meaning To The Pontius Pilate Story

Jesus stated with crystal clarity how you can receive every good desire. Every. What he stated is truth. This truth, when absorbed into your inner being, will indeed set you free from all the various prisons of this world.

A very large majority of people on this planet cannot bear to part with what they do not want, long enough to be able to receive what they do want. It is unfortunate. Ultimately however, truth will prevail. It always does. In the book of Hebrews it states that faith (imaginative belief) is in fact the very substance (truth) of what you long for. Faith is the concrete substance of that which your senses do not see. It is the indisputable evidence of that which the five senses simply are not able to perceive.

The Jesus/Pontius Pilate story represents the level of Caesar (reason). In that level of truth, only external facts are classified as truth. Barabbas was a known robber. Barabbas represents the external facts of life. These are what the world at large primarily live by. This is what they want. Barabbas, the robber, the evidence of your senses, robs you of the substance of your true faith.

I leave you with this beautiful slice of a poem from Robert Browning, the great nineteenth century poet and playwright:

Truth is within ourselves; It takes no rise from outward things, whatever you may believe.

There is an utmost center in us all; where truth abides in fullness.

Conceive. Believe. Receive.

Time – If I Knew Then, What I Know Now

I Could Have Had A V8

Are you old enough to remember the old V8 commercials on tv? The commercials that I refer to are the ones that had different people saying “I could have had a V8”. They frequently were on television during the time of the 1970’s and 1980’s.

V8 is a drink produced by the Campbell Soup Company. It is primarily tomato juice, but it also has 8 other vegetables in it, hence the name V8. The commercial was so ubiquitous at the time that the phrase was coined of someone “having a V8 moment”.

A Healthy Alternative

The basic premise of the commercial was to sell V8 as a healthy alternative to soda or other sweet drinks or snacks. I will walk you through one of the commercials. As the commercial begins you see a young guy with a can of soda in his hand. After a few seconds, he stops as if thinking of something. Then a picture of a large can of V8 flashes up on the screen. Then back to the guy who gives himself a palm slap on the forehead. At the same time, he says out loud, “I could have had a V8”!

The next scene shows a woman stuffing a cupcake down her gullet. Likewise, the picture of the large can of V8 is flashed on the screen. Then back to the woman. She puts the cupcake down. She also gives herself a palm slap on the forehead saying “I could have had a V8”! Then you see a hand pouring a glass of V8. An unseen announcer touts the benefits of V8.

The final scene shows a woman seated at a desk. She has a cup of coffee in her hand. A large can of V8 flashes on the screen. Then back to the woman. She says, “I could have had a V8” while giving herself a palm slap with her other hand.

A V8 Moment

The long running series of V8 commercials spawned the phrase “having a V8 moment”. This phrase meant that you proceeded in a situation in a certain way that you quickly regretted. Or it could also mean that upon reflecting on an event in the past, you now see how you handled it all wrong.

The phrase even entered the world of the television animated comedy, “Family Guy”. In this particular episode, Peter Griffin is laying on a psychiatrist’s couch. The psychiatrist asks Peter to reach back into the deepest memories of his childhood. Peter then says that he recalls a traumatic childhood scene. In the scene, when Peter gave his father a Father’s Day card, his father grumpily told him that he was not his real father.

At this recollection, Peter sits up in the couch and says, “Oh my God, Francis Griffin wasn’t my real father! I wonder what else I repressed in my memory”. After a second or two, he says, “Oh my God, I could have had a V8”, as he gives himself a palm slap.

It Is Poison

How often have you had a V8 moment? That moment when you realize that you did not so the right thing in a situation or event. I confess that I have had way too many. I certainly wish I had the ability to go back and do things differently in those situations. It is the old “if I knew then what I know now” conundrum.

There is something vitally important for you to remember about every V8 moment. Refrain from allowing them to become recurring feelings of regret. Lingering regret is toxic. It is injecting yourself with poison. To learn from your mistakes is growth. Sometimes it takes awhile before you learn something. To revise your subsequent actions based on what you learned from your mistakes is the productive option. Choosing to live with never ending regret is detrimental. It produces nothing good. It is sin.

It Is Going To Happen

The ultimate V8 moment occurs after your body stops functioning and you are declared dead. At that time, your spirit energy, your essence, travels to another realm of existence. You will then experience your life review. It will be an observation and evaluation of your entire lifetime. It will cover everything. You will see your first moment of consciousness to your last breath of life. You will see the good, the bad, the ugly, the beautiful.

There will undoubtedly be V8 moments galore. Of course, there will be good things to view as well. Nothing whatsoever will be hidden. Everything will be laid bare. Nothing will be covered up. You will see the good, the bad, the ugly, the beautiful. A unique feature will be the ability to see how your actions made a difference (or made no difference). You will be able to see the effect (or lack of effect) that you had on others. Your life review will be glorious or it will be pure hell. It entirely depends on you. Like it or not, the life review is gonna happen. You can’t say I didn’t warn you.

Yes, Absolutely Yes

At one time or another, everyone has said “If I only knew then, what I know now”. I readily confess that I have said it regarding a whole assortment of things in my past. If I knew then what I know now, I would have definitely done some things differently. How do you know which ideas to follow in order to live successfully? How do you know when to speak up and when to shut up? When you reach that fork in the road of life, how do you know which side of the fork in the road to travel? Is there a testing device that you can use? The answer is yes. Absolutely, yes.

The book of Matthew describes the unfailing testing device. Ask, and it shall be given. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and the door will open. ALL who ask, will receive. ALL who seek, will find. ALL who knock, will gain entry.

Ask, seek, knock are, of course, all metaphors for prayer. Feel free to study the original language. You will discover the true intent of the terms, ask, seek and knock. The true intent is to guide the reader to engage in a continuous ongoing action. This is clearly stated in another Bible verse, “Pray without ceasing”. Ask, and keep asking for guidance. Next, seek, and keep seeking for the right way. Then, knock, and keep knocking. The door to the wisdom of the Kingdom of God will be opened. Continually ask, seek and knock. As a result, if you do this every day, every day of your remaining life will be fruitful. And that, my friend, will make for one orgasmic life review.

Why Do You Exist?

Here is the progression of the average human being. I fully understand that there are variants and exceptions from this progression. First, you are born. Then, you grow up under the auspices of a father and mother. You go to school. Next, you graduate school. Then you get a job. You earn money. You find a place to live independent of your parents. Next, you get married. Then, you have children. You go to work every week for the next forty to fifty years or so. Then you retire from the work world. Next, you live in retirement for an unknown number of years. Then, you get sick and die. Then, within a few generations, all memory that you ever even existed, is gone forever as if you were never born.

If that was all there was to it, you would be no different than a bird, or a squirrel, or a goose. Live. Eat. Shit. Sleep. Work. Copulate. Reproduce. Die. You are different however. You, as a human being, are a child of God. In the book of Genesis, it is stated, “God created mankind in his own image”. Human beings are in the image of God in their spiritual and intellectual nature.

An Expression Of The I AM

You are an expression of a power infinitely greater than you – the Infinite Power, The I Am That I Am – God. Your awareness of being expresses God. First, your mind generates your thoughts. Then, your thoughts generate your feelings. Next, your thoughts and feelings (including your intuition), generate your beliefs. Your inner beliefs then generate all the outer circumstances of your entire life.

You exist in order to demonstrate the glory of God. You exist to express the Most High in a myriad of infinite ways. God has granted you power. God has granted you freedom. You were born with this freedom. Understand that there is only One Presence – God. That One Presence is within you at all times. Spend some of your allotment of time, every single day, without fail, dwelling within the Kingdom of God. Be thankful – thankful you do not have to beg some capricious and arbitrary deity for something that may or may not be granted depending on what mood they are in.

Your Two Precious Possessions

Gold. Cryptocurrency. Stocks. Cold hard cash. Real estate. Classic automobiles. Jewelry. Fine art and other collectables. Society holds these as highly valued commodities as well as precious possessions. They pale in comparison however, to your two most precious possessions. These possessions are your mind and the allotment of time you are permitted on Earth. It is vital to your success in life that you treat them as your two most precious possessions.

If you are young, then start now to learn the art of conscious manifestation. Use your abundance of time to learn how to create your desired reality. Equally important is to shed yourself of the “I’m going to live forever” mentality. You do, but not on this Earth plane of existence. Most importantly, this mentality wastes your precious commodity of time.

If you are middle-aged, there is still time. Call a time out. Step away from everything for a brief bit. Completely and honestly evaluate how you are using your time. Instead of using time on any form of escapism, use your time to create a reality where escapism is completely unnecessary. Do it now. Life really flies by faster than you think.

If you are old, be at peace but also be urgent in the use of your time. There is no longer any time to waste. Not even a single day. Cast aside all resentments as well as any grudges that you have built up over the years. Throw them away. They imprison you in a prison of your own making.. It is very important so I will repeat that –grudges and resentments imprison you. Allow yourself to express Universal Mind. Pay no attention to the opinions of others if it conflicts with you dwelling on the Presence of the Almighty.. Fulfill your true purpose, whatever it may be, while you still have time.

You Possess A Fortune – Use It

Can you think? Then you have a functioning mind.

Are you still breathing? Then you have time.

They are your fortune. Use your fortune to the very best of your ability. Use them in concert with the guidance of Universal Intelligence. Likewise, treat every day as a precious gift, because it truly is, you know.

Conceive. Believe. Receive.

Tesla – You Know The Car, Now Know The Man

Nikola Testa – Father of Modern Electricity

Tesla Motors was incorporated in 2003 by electrical engineers, Martin Eberhard and Mark Tarpenning. Their idea was to bring to life their dream. They wanted to create a mass produced car powered totally by electric, thus reducing dependency on oil. Today, Tesla’s market capitalization is over one trillion dollars. The company’s name was a tribute by its founders to the inventor and electrical engineer, Nikola Tesla.

Recharge your phone, iPad or laptop. Flick on a light switch. Use your house thermostat to kick on either heat or cooling. Turn on the tv. Pop something in the microwave. Throw your clothes in the washer. Everyday normal events that you do without a second thought (until a storm knocks the power out). All those actions have one common denominator. They all use alternating current electricity.

When you think of electricity, maybe you think of Ben Franklin doing his kite thing. Perhaps Thomas Edison comes to mind and his introduction of the incandescent light bulb. Allow me to throw one more name out there, namely the aforementioned Nikola Tesla. His introduction of alternating current as a means of distributing electricity removed the barrier of delivering electricity over long distances that the system of direct current was not able to do. Alternating current and the induction motor still form the basis of power grids to this day, linking the power grids to homes, farms, offices, businesses and industry.

A Little Background Info On Tesla

Nikola Tesla was born in 1856. He lived to the age of 86, dying in 1943. He was raised in modern day Croatia to parents of Serbian heritage. His father was an Eastern Orthodox priest. His mother was the daughter of an Eastern Orthodox priest. After Tesla graduated high school, he contracted cholera. He was close to death many times during the course of this illness. After recovering, he ran away to another region of Croatia to avoid being drafted into the army of the Austrian-Hungary Empire. He later enrolled in a technical institute in Austria but did not graduate.

When Tesla was 25, he moved to Hungary and worked for the Budapest Phone Company as an engineer. The next year he got a job in Paris with the Edison Company. He displayed an advanced knowledge of electrical engineering and physics. The company designated him as a company troubleshooter. At 28 years of age he moved to America and worked for Edison in New York City. He lasted 6 months there until he quit. He quit abruptly when Edison reneged on a promised bonus.

His Big Breakthrough

For a few years after, he struggled financially. He continued to work on his ideas however. At age 30, he partnered with some entrepreneurs. His luck changed. He subsequently sold his patents for the induction motor and alternating current. He sold them to the Westinghouse Company for a princely sum. As a result he became a wealthy man.

For the next 20 years he incessantly experimented and filed new patents. He spent much of his time and most of his fortune experimenting with transmitting electric power without use of wires. By 1920, he had lost almost all of his fortune. He was a great inventor but a terrible businessman. He died in his hotel room in New York City in 1943.

Over 300 Registered Patents

Alternating current is the worldwide standard for generation, transmission and distribution of electricity to the masses. Tesla developed the technology for this. He also invented the induction motor. This type of motor is used in countless items . Automobiles. Water pumps. Elevators. Washing machines. Vacuum cleaners. Hair dryers. Refrigerators. Industrial turbines. Basically wherever something is powered by some type of motor. If the above two inventions alone were all that he invented, he would still be one of the greatest innovators in history.

Tesla registered over 300 patents. He also had hundreds of inventions that were never patented. Tesla invented, predicted, or contributed to the development of literally hundreds of technologies used in today’s world. Remote control technology (think drones). Neon and florescent lighting. X-rays. Wireless wave transmission (think wi-fi). Computers. Smartphones. Lasers. Robotics.

Some Further Facts

He was a polyglot. Tesla was fluent in eight different languages. Linguists refer to a person proficient in six or more languages as a polyglot. He was fluent in Serbo-Croatian, Czech, Hungarian, Italian, German, French, English and Latin!

He was eidetic. Tesla had the inner ability to memorize entire books and periodicals. He used that stored information as his own personal internal library. He rarely made drawings of his inventions. Tesla merely copied down the picture of the invention that he had in his head.

He rarely slept. Tesla was an insomniac. He usually only slept about two hours a night. As a result sometimes he would nap at his work desk during the course of the day. Assistants noted that sometimes he would just fall asleep in mid sentence due to exhaustion.

A lifelong bachelor. Tesla never married. As a result of his intense focus on his inventions as well as his documented OCD, it was never in the cards for him to marry.

An interesting quote. Here is a most mysterious quote from Tesla for you to ponder. “If you want to know the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration”.

Penniless to Wealthy to Penniless. Tesla was wizard like in the ideas and inventions that flowed from his mind but he was a terrible businessman. Unlike Edison, he just did not possess business acumen. After selling his alternating current and induction motor patents to George Westinghouse, Tesla was a multi-millionaire. He proceeded to plow all that money back into other ideas he desired to explore. The tragedy of the fire that destroyed his New York City lab was financially devastating because Tesla had neglected to purchase insurance.

The Battle Of The Currents

In the 1880’s, the use of electricity was growing by leaps and bounds. In addition to street lamps and industrial usage, the world wanted electricity in their homes. The market for electricity was huge. The big question was how to get it to the people.

There were two competing methods of distributing electricity. The first was direct current. Edison and his partners were the proponents of direct current. This is the method he used to supply his customers with electricity. The other method of distributing electricity was by alternating current. Tesla and his business partners championed alternating current.

Edison was the quintessential businessman. He did not want to lose the royalties for his direct current patents. Thus began a campaign to discredit alternating current. He said alternating current was too dangerous. He conspired to have the first electric chair (for executions) powered by alternating current. The idea was to create a perception of alternating current as very hazardous.

In 1893, the war came to a head. This was the year of the Chicago World’s Fair. It was electricity’s “coming out party” to the world. Edison’s company bid $554,000 to electrify the fair. They lost the bid to Westinghouse and Tesla. Westinghouse’s bid was for $399,000. The fair was a resounding success. Alternating current was here to stay.

A few years later, Westinghouse and Tesla provided power to all of Buffalo, NY. They successfully used Niagara Falls as a giant power generator. At that point, Edison’s company jumped on the alternating current bandwagon. The war was over.

Tesla’s Mental Illness

Tesla was one of the most brilliant minds in human history. His personality disorder however did impinge on his daily life. We know today that Nikola Tesla suffered from OCD, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. There were also other things that he dealt with. These difficulties may have interfered with his ability to act in his own interests throughout his life.

Tesla was a germaphobe. He obsessively washed his hands. He usually wore gloves to avoid anyone touching his skin.

Tesla was a certified insomniac. He awoke at 9:00 am. He worked at his lab until 6:00 pm. Then he ate dinner at the same restaurant at 8:10 pm. He then went back to work after dinner. He usually worked until 3 or 4 in the morning.

Tesla had an obsession with the number 3. He would walk around a building three times before entering. He required 18 napkins when eating his meal. The number 18 was divisible by 3. At any hotel, he would request a room number where the sum of the digits were divisible by three.

Before eating, Tesla would cut his food at precise right angles. Then he would precisely determine the cubic mass of the food. Next, he would calculate the exact number of jaw movements required to digest the food properly.

He had a phobia regarding pearls. He would get uncomfortable when in the company of a woman wearing pearls.

While these strange rituals may appear funny to the casual observer, OCD is no joke. It is a hell of sorts. I know. I struggled with recurring OCD in my earlier years. In time, I became free of it. I have compassion for those that struggle with it. Every day I am thankful that I am free.

A Wild Claim

A newly declassified FBI document puts forth a wild claim about Tesla. The document is known as the “Interplanetary Sessions Newsletter”. Why was the FBI involved? Why was it classified information? This document makes the wild claim that Tesla is from the planet Venus. It states that he was brought to Earth as a baby in 1856. He was left in the care of Mr. and Mrs. Tesla. The document further states that Tesla was visited many times by Venusians. A wild claim indeed.

An interesting snippet from the document relates an alleged Venusian quote. “Our world (Earth) is not hopeless by any means. As a species however, we are too lazy. In a spiritual sense, we must become more potent. This is necessary to hold the planet together against the dark forces that would destroy it”.

Where Did His Knowledge Come From?

Tesla’s mind yielded much that is used in today’s world. Many of his inventions were far ahead of his time. In fact, he was probably too far ahead of his time. Tesla predicted that people all over the world would be able to hear and see each other using a device small enough to fit in their pocket. Sounds like a smartphone to me.

How different the world would have been had he given himself over to depression and bitterness in the mid 1880’s. His business partners abandoned him. They left him without a dime. He had to dig ditches at $2 a day to survive.

He had a dream however. This dream was to manifest on the outside what his mind saw and believed on the inside. The vision was inside his mind. He knew that it simply had to be expressed. He proceeded forward in faith. Thus it is with your life. The desire, the manifestation that is within you yearns to be expressed. To deny it, to refuse it, to ignore it, to decline it, is a falling short of the mark. Proceed forward in belief. Purge yourself of doubt. Believe. Let Universal Mind handle the details.

Conceive. Believe. Receive.

Power Is Now Available To Break Free

Oh How They Love To Control

Throughout human history there is a sad and never-ending scenario. That scenario is of one person or group maneuvering to control and gain power over another person or group of persons. Sometimes that maneuvering is done through brutal cruelty. Sometimes merely the threat of harm has been enough to gain control. Yet another way control is achieved is through psychological manipulation. Brutal mass controllers abound throughout history – Genghis Khan, Timur, Torquemada, Leopold of Belgium, Stalin, Hitler, Mao Zedong and so on.

I am not advocating for anarchy. In order for a civilized society to function, there must be some control mechanism in place. This mechanism is necessary to keep a small minority from interrupting the peace and harmony of the large majority.

Beyond political and financial control is a far more insidious and toxic form of control. Humans just can’t seem to help themselves from trying to control the minds and thoughts of other humans. It’s a perversity without any redeeming value.

For example, your boss at work that almost has an orgasm when he or she arbitrarily exercises control. Next, there is the political authority who delights in lording over their position of control. Then there is the corrupt law enforcement official who gets a cheap thrill out of intimidating and creating fear. In addition, there is the husband or wife who use all manner of ways to subtly gain control in the relationship. And on and on and on, ad nauseum.

Stop Whining, Start Believing

Some human beings like being controlled. Most do not. The majority who feel aggrieved more than likely form resentments against their control. These resentments can be silent (within themselves). They can be verbally expressed. They also can take the form of various actions and reactions. The pressure for you to conform to be a certain way can make for an unhappy life.

The words of Jesus Christ in Mark 11:24 are essential truth as well as timeless in nature. “Whatsoever you desire, when you pray, believe that you have received it and it will be yours”. Do you desire to be free of being controlled by others? Then start believing that you are free. That is where you begin breaking free.

I can almost see the “yeah buts” coming forth like a horde of locusts. Yeah but if I do not do or be what he (or she) wants me to do or be, they won’t like me. They may try to hurt me in some way. The harm could be physical, emotional, mental or financial in nature.

Believe. Believe that you are free from control. In your inner mind, experience your life as you desire it to be. Free to be your real self. Free to think the thoughts and say the words that you choose. Your new belief is that you are living in a manner that expresses who you are. Make this your unchanging belief regardless of any circumstances. To hell with circumstances. Believe what you choose to believe. That is your power.

Daniel And The Lions Den

Many have heard the story of Daniel. During the captivity of the Jews in Babylon in the sixth century B.C., Daniel prayed only to the one true God. This was in direct violation of the decree of King Darius. This decree stated that for a period of thirty days all prayers and petitions be directed solely to King Darius. The decree was to force people to acknowledge that all substance came from their secular ruler, Darius, not from any other source.

Daniel ignored the decree. He was arrested and sentence to be placed into a pit of hungry lions. In fact, the lions were not fed the day before so that they would be good and hungry. Daniel’s focus and attention on the one true God remained steadfast. He turned his back to the lions the entire night. He emerged the next day from the lions den totally unscathed.

The story of Daniel is the story of every man. Daniel completely turned his back to the lions. He looked only at the light that is God. He looked only at the power that is God. In the same way, every manner of control that humans can come up with can likewise be neutralized.

Every problem automatically produces its own solution. The solution is to be free of the problem. Thus, with any problem, turn your back to the problem (the lions). Turn your face to the solution. Focus your belief on the solution (being free). Focus your mind’s attention on the solution already having occurred. Feel yourself to be that which you desire. If your desire is to live free in peace and harmony, then that is precisely what you believe and feel.

Not A Big Guy With a Long Beard

The famous painting by Michelangelo, “The Creation of Adam” is one of the most well-known paintings in the world, ranking right up there with Mona Lisa by Leonardo Da Vinci. Michelangelo’s painting is the fresco on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican. The painting renders a portrayal of God giving the spark of life to Adam. God is portrayed as an old guy with white hair, wearing a white robe and having a long beard.

Michelangelo’s painting of God creating Adam is probably the most reproduced artistic creation of all time. It is truly an impressive creation of art. It served to translate the image of God into an image discernable to the human mind. There is even a Family Guy parody that portrays God as an old guy with white hair, robe and beard. Peter is with God in an elevator that is stuck between floors. He starts asking God all types of questions. Peter: “God, are we just a computer simulation run by a higher species”? God: “Yes”. Peter: “OK, I wasn’t expecting that”.

Of course, God is not some old guy with white hair and a long beard peeking at you from behind the clouds. God is transcendent and unknowable. The Kingdom of God (Awareness of Being) is within each and every human being. That is the way in which you were created. The Kingdom of God is within you (Luke 17:21). The peace, the power, the freedom of God is available to all within that Kingdom.

There Is A Way Out

If you do not enjoy being manipulated like some chess piece in someone else’s game of chess, there is a way out. The way out involves completely revising your perspective about everything in your current circumstances. You’re going to have to “go rad”. You are going to have emulate Daniel.

Is your spouse controlling you? Look only at God. Is your boss at work controlling you? Look only at God. Are your physical infirmities controlling you? Look only at God. Is your church or other social group controlling you? Look only at God. Is your depression controlling you? Look only at God. Is your financial situation controlling you? Look only at God. Are your friends controlling you? Look only at God. Are your fears controlling you? Look only at God.

There is only One Presence. There is only one Power. That Presence is God. That Power is God. There is a counter-logical solution to any situation where you feel controlled by your circumstances. Like Daniel in the lions den, turn your back to the circumstances.

Fix your mind, your thoughts, your vision, your heart, your entire being, solely on God. See only the One Presence. See only the One Power. Give up your belief in bad circumstances. Where there is strife, believe only in peace of God. Where there is weakness, believe only in the power of God. It is your way out.

Power – Use It Or Don’t Use It

Universal Intelligence, God, created you in the image of Universal Mind. The truth of Mark 11:24 reaches out to you every single day of your life. Whatsoever you believe, you will receive.

There is a critical “catch” to this power of belief with which you have been gifted. This “catch” is called free will. If you choose to make the decision to refrain from believing, your connection to the power is interrupted. Unbelief throws the power switch to the “off” position.

Your complete conviction, without any hidden doubts, without any secret fears, seals the deal for you. While in a relaxed state, employ your imagination to the fullest. Feel your desire as rock solid real. Your steadfast faith keeps the power switch in the “on” position.

Your power exists. It is yours to use or not to use, as you so choose.

A Unique Hobby – Looking At People

Everybody Has Hobbies

Everybody has hobbies. A hobby is defined as an activity, interest or pastime that is undertaken for pleasure or relaxation. Thus, even if your spare time consists of eating cookies and looking out the window, then that is your hobby.

I have several hobbies:

Spending Time With My Son. My adult son lives with me. Just experiencing our time together is an absolute pleasure.

Reading. My son and I have a personal library of over 2,000 books. I am not talking about ebooks. Our books are old school. They are mostly hard cover with bindings and pages that you turn as you read.

Net surfing. Yes, I confess. I have gone down that Wikipedia rabbit hole more times than I can count.

Watching classic tv shows on dvd’s or You Tube. Come on, how could you not like Joe Mannix?

Metaphysical studies. Digesting the content of authors such as Emmet Fox, Ernest Holmes, Neville Goddard, Stuart Wilde, et al.

Walking. The natural rhythm of one foot after the other is timeless.

Travel within the USA. I hope to get up to New England in the next five years.

Writing. I enjoy expressing what is in me with the written word.

Looking at people. You notice I use the term looking at people and not people-watching. The latter term to me denotes some type of obtrusive surveillance.

Able To Get A Sense

I have an ability to get a good feel about a person just by looking at them as they walk by. Maybe I am in a food court or an outdoor cafe. I could be walking to or from a building in a parking lot. Perhaps I am walking down a sidewalk. Even just sitting at a traffic light gives me the opportunity to look at people as they turn into my street from a left hand turn lane. There are a multitude of opportunities in any given week.

Being An Introvert Is My Destiny

I am an avowed introvert. As the saying goes, I am very comfortable in my own skin. As my life winds down to my final years, I find myself purposely engaging less and less in social interactions except those of a cursory nature. At the same time however, I find all the different types of people that I observe everyday to be fascinating. I do have an inner desire to be helpful before I depart this world. Thus, this blog, and the book that I have written, are a few examples of my acting on that desire. There are other avenues that I engage in as well.

The Eyes Reveal The Truth

While the way that a person carries himself is made up of many different facets, the eyes of a person are the most revealing. Of course, a person’s state of mind can change from one day to the next, even one minute to the next. Taking that into account, the eyes of a person are always going to be the most truthful indicator about a person. Despite what is going on in the mind, most people cannot hide what their eyes reveal (except if they are wearing sunglasses).

Twelve Different Types

In the course of my people-looking hobby, I have come up with twelve general categories. I am certain that you have encountered several of these categories. This is not a complete list by any means. With no further adieu, here is my list of observations about the people that walk by me each day.

Eyes Straight Ahead Ned

This is the guy that under no circumstances does he want any type of interaction with you. He walks from the convenience store to his car without so much as a slight look in your direction as he walks by. He is saying to himself, “I can sense that guy looking at me, maybe wanting to say good morning or something but I am just not interested. I won’t even give him so much as a glance”.

In A Hurry Terry

Terry is in a big hurry to get wherever he is going. He may be late for a date or a job interview or maybe he just has to pee. Depending on the vibes that I get, this guy may possibly be one of those guys to tailgate you in traffic and then pass you so he can get to a traffic light ten seconds faster. Terry doesn’t even see anyone else as he walks by you. He’s in a hurry.

Sneak A Peek Sammy

When I see Sammy about 15, 20 yards away, I can see that he is aware that I am looking at him. And when I say looking at him, it is merely looking in a manner that if he acknowledges me, I would simply say “Good morning” or “Howzit going” or some other brief, friendly comment. Sammy is not really interested in any of that. As he passes by however, without turning his head, he sneaks a peek over in my direction with his eyes. Then, he quickly sets his eyes squarely back on his destination without missing a beat.

Talking With Earpiece Tommy

People who wear phone earpieces are very prevalent today. When they first came out, I would always think the person would be talking to me if I was the only other person around. I would say something like, “I’m sorry, what did you say”. The person would give me an annoyed look without responding. Then I would realize that he was wearing one of those phone earpiece things. When I see Tommy coming, I understand that he is in his own little phone world. He is immersed in his conversation. Tommy wants no outside interference from passers-by.

Talking Without Earpiece Ted

This guy is one that I want to steer clear of. As soon as I see that Ted is talking but does not have an earpiece, I immediately revert to the strategy of Eyes Straight Ahead Ned. If Ted is not only talking, but shouting to himself, I make believe I forgot something in my car and start heading in the opposite direction from Ted pronto.

Happy Inside Henry

Henry is a guy that is a pleasure not only to walk past, but just to experience the vibes he sends out as he walks. This is the guy with a genuine smile in his eyes. He is a real deal happy person. If I look this guy in the eye as I am walking past, it is always met with a friendly greeting in response.

Look At Me Louie

Louie must have been ignored by his parents as a kid. Louie wants to compensate. He wants everyone around him pay attention to him. It doesn’t matter if what he is doing is genuinely entertaining or the equivalent of massive flatulence, he just wants people to look at him and acknowledge him.

A recent example occurred in the parking lot of the Wawa convenience store. Louie came into the lot riding a motorcycle that he revved to make it as loud as he possibly could. I was walking to the store’s entrance. He gave it one more unnecessarily loud rev then got off his bike. As I passed by I casually glanced at him. He had a look on his face that said, “OK everybody, here I am. Look at me”.

Don’t Look At Me Linda

The other side of the coin is the paranoid, a little bit loco en la cabeza person that does not want you to ever look at them. A recent example occurred at the library. I was there doing some peaceful research, seated at one of the long research tables. I had my laptop set up in front of me. Linda was seated at the next research table with her laptop. The manner in which we happened to be seated had us facing each other.

After a short while she came over to me table, pointed a finger in my face and said “Stop looking at me”. I started laughing thinking it was a joke at first but quickly realized that she was dead serious. Because of the bizarre nature of her request, all I could think of to say was “Get away from me lady”.

Immediately I saw she was off in the head. I decided to go over to talk to the librarian. When Loco Linda saw me, she ran over to the librarian desk and shrilly repeated, “Tell him to stop looking at me”. She then went back to her desk. After a short discussion with the librarian, it was mutually decided that I should just move to another table away from her. Peace was maintained. The irony of the whole thing was that this woman had the type of face that you did not want to look at.

Just Start Something Steve

Steve is an inherently angry person. His vibes almost shout out, “Go ahead. Just start something with me. I’ll bash your brains in”. You don’t see him very often. When you see him however, the wisest course of action is to make believe he does not exist. When I see Steve, that is precisely what I do at once. He doesn’t want a friendly “Good morning” or a smile. He is walking around with a chip on his shoulder the size of a log.

Downcast Dan

As I mentioned, the eyes are the window to the soul. Every once in awhile I will see Downcast Dan walking by. When you look into his eyes, you will see sadness and discouragement. Almost always, I say a silent prayer for Universal Mind to help him out of his discouragement. I have walked where Dan walks. It is a kind of hell that just squeezes the life right out of you.

Good Hearted Harry

This is perhaps the best type of them all. This is the guy who you just know has a good and kind heart. You can feel it. You can sense it without a word being said. It comes forth from him like radio waves. When I see Harry, I almost get a tear in my eye when I remember that there are still people like this in the world.

Bat Shit Crazy Bennie

Bennie is why you should always be alert and aware of your surroundings. Bennie is gone. The train has left the station. There is no longer any rationality in him. Whatever happened to him along the way, Bennie is a disaster waiting to happen. You do not want to engage with Bennie as his inner filters have disintegrated. As with Harry, it is something that you sense without a word being said. It is a rare occurrence to run into Bennie but when you do, be aware that he does not play by the same rules that you and I do.

Everything We Do Affects Manifesting

Everything that you think, feel, say, do and believe affects the reality that you manifest in your life. Observing people can grow your compassion, sharpen your intuition, increase your tolerance. You can use your power as a child of God to intercede on behalf of another. As led by God’s spirit within you, you can send out silent, micro-prayers of blessing and peace to another without them ever knowing.

There Is One Life

There is a portion of a mind treatment written by Ernest Holmes that goes, “There is one Life, that Life is God, that Life is perfect, that Life is my Life now”. Your life purpose is to physically express the One Presence, the One Power, through physically manifesting every good desire.

Look at the people who walk by and understand this – we are all part of the One Presence. You are a minuscule part of this Presence. You have been royally gifted to believe as you so choose. Choose wisely. Whatsoever you desire, believe that you have already received it, and you will ultimately have it.

Conceive. Believe. Receive.

It’s Hard To Beat Beet Juice For Good Health

Don’t Forget About Me

There are four aspects (or bodies) to our state of being. They are spiritual, mental, emotional and physical. If you want to squeeze as much as you can out of the toothpaste tube of life, then consider all four bodies of your existence. When proceeding with a manifestation, the three bodies of focus are usually spiritual, mental and emotional.

The physical body houses the other three bodies. It is the physical structure whose existence allows you to use your mind and emotions to the best benefit. If your body was able to verbally talk to you (now that’s a scary thought), it might say, “hey those other guys are all important but don’t forget about me”.

If you neglect to do what you are able to do to keep your body working properly, it could lead to minor or major infirmities. When your body is in a state of dis-ease, it has the potential to negatively affect the other three bodies of your existence.

You know the spiel. Eat right. Don’t smoke. Drink alcohol in moderation. Cut back on sugar. Exercise every day. Reduce your salt intake. Brush your teeth. Clean between your toes. Get plenty of sleep. And on and on. In other words, your doctor may say to you, “do everything perfect and you’ll be in good health”. Yeah, right Doc, I’m on it. It’s like the preacher saying to you, “follow all the rules and regulations of my religion and you’ll be living large”.

There is however, a really simple thing that you can do every day for your health. It takes a very short amount of time. This thing will bring you a whole basket full of benefits. You have probably heard the old saying, “An apple a day, keeps the doctor away”. I am going to amend that slightly to say, “A glass of beet juice a day, keeps the doctor away”. The scientifically proven benefits of drinking a glass of beet juice every day have been well documented by the medical community.

It Ain’t Snake Oil Folks

Something as easy as drinking a glass full of beet juice on a daily basis can (and pay attention now): help reduce blood pressure, keep your arteries flexible, lower bad cholesterol, increase good cholesterol, reduce arthritic inflammation, protect your bones from osteoporosis, reduce the risk of developing dementia, relieve constipation, and improve your stamina during physical exercise. If that sounds like a pitch from an old time snake oil salesman, think again. All of these benefits have been documented as real. Whatever website you choose, be it webmd, healthline, mayo clinic, cleveland clinic, etc., you will see the benefits delineated.

If you don’t like the taste of beet juice (and many do not), try experimenting with blending in a minority portion (80/20) of some other juice or flavoring. For example, apple juice, carrot juice, pineapple juice, lemon juice and fresh ginger all can alter the taste of beet juice more to your liking.

The Bennies

Yes, there are most definitely a bunch of benefits that you receive when you enter the world of beet juice. If the pharmaceutical companies could find a way to create a monopoly on beet juice, they would charge a fortune. There would be no end to their extoling the benefits of beet juice.

Lower Blood Pressure

This one is a biggie. High blood pressure is a huge problem in the United States today. Researchers have revealed that drinking at least eight ounces of beet juice a day will lower blood pressure. It reduces both the systolic (the top number) as well as the diastolic (the bottom number). Beet juice has compounds called nitrates, that convert into nitric oxide in the blood. This nitric oxide helps widen and relax the body’s blood vessels. Presto, your heart says “Thank you”.

Down With The Bad, Up With The Good

In a study published in 2011, it was discovered that beet extract lowered bad cholesterol and triglycerides. Bad cholesterol is the stuff that gunks up your arteries. Moreover, that same study also showed that beet extract increased what is known as good cholesterol. These good guys are called high-density lipoproteins or HDL. HDL is called the good cholesterol because it helps to clean out the bad stuff from your bloodstream.

Increase Your Stamina

Many athletes follow a regimen of drinking beet juice before a competition. The beet juice causes an increase in plasma nitrate levels. This improves physical stamina. During a 2012 study, two groups of pro cyclists were closely monitored. The group that drank two cups of beet juice improved their 10K time trial by about twelve seconds. In the world of cycling, the difference between winning and second place could be mere seconds. Thus, that twelve second improvement is a big deal. In addition, the beet juice cyclists were also successful in reducing their maximum oxygen output.

Reduce Risk Of Developing Dementia

In yet another medical study published in the journal Nitric Oxide, it was established that nitrates may help to increase blood flow in the brain in older people and slow cognitive decline. One group of participants consumed a high nitrate diet that included beet juice. Brain MRI’s were taken. These MRI’s disclosed increased blood flow the the frontal lobe of the brain. Frontal lobes are associated with cognitive thinking.

But Wait, There’s More

There is a lot more that beet juice can do for you. It can limit swelling and arthritic inflammation, protect bones from osteoporosis, help protect skin from sun damage, help to promote a healthy immune system and last, but definitely not least, help relieve constipation.

1-800-It’s The Beets

One harmless effect of drinking beet juice each day is something called beeturia, Beeturia is when your urine turns red after you drink beet juice. Over the years, as the advantages of beets have gotten publicized, more and more people have gotten on board the “beet train”. There have been those among that crowd however, that almost shit themselves when they see their red urine and think it’s blood. (Oh yeah, I almost forgot, your stools turn pink also).

A standup comedian once did a small bit on beeturia in his act. Going through his schtick on a guy seeing his pee come out red, he said that he wanted to start a toll free phone line called “1-800-It’s The Beets”.

A Few Precautions

Obviously, if beet juice helps to lower blood pressure, you do not want to be drinking it if you are prone to low blood pressure. Likewise, if you are at high risk of developing kidney stones, stay away from beet juice. Beets contain high levels of oxalates which can cause kidney stones in people that are at high risk for this particular condition. As in any new health regimen, before starting, talk things over with your family doctor first.

Fresh Versus Bottled Versus Cooked

The very best way to drink beet juice is to juice it yourself with a good electric juicer. In that way, you ingest all of the goodies (nitrates, antioxidants, vitamins, etc.) without any degradation. If you don’t want to juice it yourself, stop at the local juice bar (if you have one) and get your fresh beet juice in this manner.

If you have no way to drink fresh pressed beet juice, bottled juice is your next alternative. Bottled juice is good but it has been heat pasteurized to prevent bacteria from forming during the bottling process. Flash pasteurization is a more expensive process. It kills the bacteria but preserves more of the nutrients than standard pasteurization. Think of it as good (standard pasteurized bottled juice), better (flash pasteurized) and best (fresh squeezed).

If you enjoy eating roasted or lightly steamed beets, by all means, go ahead and enjoy. The heat and cooking will dissipate some of the nutrients but that is the case with most vegetables. Most of the nutrients will remain. Stay away however from boiling beets. The boiling method will lose the most nutrients of all methods of cooking beets.

My Personal Experience

I have experience with drinking beet juice. The one benefit that I can quantify without any doubt is the lowering of blood pressure. It works. I went through a period of time where my blood pressure was very high. When I discovered this, I did some research online. I learned about the benefits of beet juice. Consequently, I immediately started a daily regimen of drinking beet juice. I took my own blood pressure with an at-home device. Beet juice did lower my blood pressure. I experimented further. I found even better response with fresh squeezed beet juice.

Since I was on a roll, I decided to put away my dislike of going to the doctor. After discussion with my physician, he wrote a prescription for an anti-hypertensive. Between the prescription and the beet juice, my blood pressure has gone down from the stroke high danger zone to perfectly normal. It is my belief that at some point, I will be able to discontinue the prescription.

Kid Detachment Vs. Killer Time Lag

In This Corner………

Somewhere along the way, I am reasonably sure that you have watched the beginning of a professional boxing match. Even if you have never been a boxing fan, you may have been introduced to a boxing match on a television show or in a movie. The popular Rocky movie franchise is an example of where you may have seen it.

Before the fight starts, the announcer stands in the middle of the ring as he holds the drop down microphone. The two boxers are standing in opposite corners of the ring. The announcer intones, “In this corner, weighing in at 207 pounds is Tommie “Kid” Callahan. After the cheers for this boxer die down, the announcer continues, “And in this corner, weighing in at 214 pounds, George “Killer” Kowalski. The boxers then go to the center of the ring to hear the referee’s final instructions and shake hands. Then they return to their respective corners, the bell rings, and the fight commences.

Every Day Of Your Life

Every day of your life, you are in an ethereal boxing ring for a boxing match unlike any others. You are “Kid Detachment”. You are pitted against “Killer Time Lag”. The winner of this match determines the very substance of your human existence. If “Kid Detachment” wins, your dreams and desires morph into reality. If “Killer Time Lag” wins, you unfortunately must remain in your state of disappointment and frustration.

What Is Detachment?

Detachment is the most controversial and difficult part of manifesting your chosen desires. There are those that portray detachment as not thinking about the materialization of your desire. This particular school of thought contends that once you set your intention to manifest a specific desire, you then stop thinking about it and detach yourself from the outcome.

True detachment goes far beyond that particular definition. Your state of consciousness called detachment is where your “craving self” dies. Detachment is a state of mind that you, yourself, induce. It is a state of being where your thoughts, your feelings, your actions, your reactions, your emotions all reflect one thing. That one thing is that your chosen desire is real, right now. Detachment means that you believe, you know that your manifestation is complete. The desire is fulfilled. It is not something that you will get. It is something that you have. Wherever you are sitting, standing, or laying down, it is real, right now.

The Purpose Of Detachment

The purpose of practicing detachment is to separate (or detach) from your present reactions to current circumstances. Once that detachment occurs, you have removed the frustration and disappointment of the state of “not having”. You have given space for you faith (belief) to connect with Universal Mind.

Jesus Christ stated quite clearly that whatsoever things you desire, when you pray, believe that you have received, and they will be yours. Jesus is telling those listening, that if you practice detachment (believe that you already have your chosen desire), your desire will spring to life.

When you rightly practice detachment, you are detached from your current outer reality, your outer circumstances. You are not anxiously awaiting your desire to come about. If you are in a state of detachment, then you are already experiencing your chosen reality.

Come On, Get Real

You may have pressing problems currently that are causing you to feel distress and anxiety. It feels like most of your day is spent attempting to remediate your problems. Perhaps you are thinking to yourself, “This detachment stuff sounds like you are supposed to live in a fantasy world, like a crazy person. I got bills to pay. I have family issues to deal with. My boss at work is a complete clown. With all this going on, you want me to act like these things don’t exist? Come on, get real”.

Biblical scripture states that those who believe, are physically in the world, but not of the world. Your mind is your own personal domain. It is where your imagination is. Your imagination is the power that brings stuff into your life.

If you want to get real about manifesting your true desire, then you have to do what is necessary to bring that about.

Sorry, The Cavalry Is Not Coming

As a kid, I watched a bunch of tv shows and movies that were westerns. In some of these movies, the wagon train would be surrounded by Indians who were trying to decimate the entire wagon train. Just when things were the most desperate, there would be the sound of a cavalry bugle call. Then over the ridge would appear the army cavalry to save the day.

Sorry, but the cavalry is not coming to your rescue. In manifesting what you desire, it is up to you to do what is necessary. You. No shining knight is coming to rescue you. You must use the power that you were given by your Creator as a child of the Almighty Presence. You can choose a glorious path of consciously manifesting a fulfilling life. Or you can choose the same old shit that you have been experiencing.

How To Practice Detachment

If living a life of fulfillment, experiencing inner joy, sounds good to you, then you must take action. Start today. Tomorrow never comes. Start a daily (every day without fail) practice of setting aside a prescribed period of time each day. Next, in this time period that you have chosen, get into a deeply relaxed state. For example, this is the state of relaxation that you feel before nodding off to sleep. You are still awake but your mind and body are in the deepest state of relaxation this side of being asleep. This state of relaxation is called SATS, state akin to sleep.

Use this state of relaxation to your benefit. It may be five minutes, ten minutes, twenty minutes. Shift your imagination into high gear during this time of deep relaxation. Next, see your desire already fulfilled in your mind’s eye. Hear what you would hear. See what you would see. Feel what you would feel. Say what you would say. Your imaginal scene changes over into your true reality.

Deliver A Knockout Punch To Killer Time Lag

One of the biggest obstacles to getting stuff that you want via conscious manifestation is the time lag. You do your daily session of experiencing detachment. Then you do it the next day. And the next. And the next. Consequently, after a week, you see nothing changed in your outer experience. You get discouraged. You start doubting. Adverse circumstances activate fears. The time lag is hitting you with body blows.

In manifesting, there is almost always a time lag between activating your desire and fulfillment. Killer Time Lag uses this time period to go on the offensive and score a knockout. This is where your faithful and consistent practice of detachment will be your salvation. Every consecutive day of your practice of detachment delivers a solid punch to Killer Time Lag. Then, one day, you will deliver the knockout punch and Killer Time Lag will go down for the count.

When You Believe It, You Will See It

Faith is power. Faith is belief. Belief is the key. Hebrews 11:1 has a beautiful and concise definition of faith. Faith is the assurance of things hoped for; the conviction of things not seen. The word assurance means total confidence; complete freedom from doubt; 100% certainty. The word conviction means that your Subconscious Mind is convinced that the circumstance that you created in your imagination is real. When you remain in a state of detachment and your Subconscious Mind buys into what you are selling, there is no force on earth that can prevent your desire from becoming reality.

Conceive. Believe. Receive.

The Magic Of Deep Relaxation

Hypnotism – Mystery Of The Mind

The cliché of the hypnotist when I was growing up was of a guy with either a Vandyke beard or a pencil thin moustache. He also wore a black cape and perhaps a top hat. I pictured hypnotists along the lines of the Mandrake the Magician character from the comic strip.

The hypnotist would hold a gold pocket watch attached to a chain. Next he would then proceed to swing the watch slowly back and forth in front of the person. He would say, “Just focus on the watch, back and forth, back and forth. You are now getting very sleepy, verrry sleepy. Your eyelids are getting very heavy.” And so on until the subject would go into a trance-like state. The hypnotist would then give hypnotic suggestions to the person being hypnotized. Stage hypnotists would then entertain paying customers by having the hypnotized person quack like a duck or cluck like a chicken.

Other stage hypnotists have opted to astound their audience by having a person in a hypnotized trance-like state keep their arms in a rigid state. All efforts to make the arms go down through various means would fail. Or perhaps the hypnotist would give a person, who is not fluent in the French language, a post hypnotic suggestion to recite French poetry upon hearing a word cue.

As a result, the stage hypnotists, with their flair for theatrics and entertaining an audience, have planted in the minds of many, the rejection of hypnotism as a science of the mind.

Franz And James

The word hypnosis comes from the ancient Greek word hypnos, meaning sleep. Sometimes the word mesmerize, is used as an alternative word to the word hypnotize. This comes from an early practitioner of the forerunner of modern hypnotism, Franz Mesmer. He was a physician of the late 1700’s, early 1800’s. He practiced in Vienna, then Paris, then Switzerland.

Mesmer used different types of hypnotic techniques to place the patient in a trance. He claimed the existence of a natural energy transference called animal magnetism or mesmerism. He postulated that the transference of this animal magnetism from doctor to patient resulted in the cure that came about in the patient. A royal commission ordered by King Louis XVI, which included Benjamin Franklin, concluded that the cures were real. However, the commission found that the results of the cures were brought about from the mind of the patient. The commission refuted the notion of any animal magnetism transferred from the doctor to patient.

James Braid was a respected Scottish surgeon and scientist of the early to mid 1800’s. He has been referred to as the “Father of Modern Hypnotism”. Braid became interested in those who were practicing Mesmerism because of reports of healings. He attended some public demonstrations of Mesmerism and was further intrigued. The surgeon and scientist subsequently took it upon himself to conduct numerous experiments.

He ultimately came to the conclusion that the changes in condition of the patient were not brought about by any animal magnetism transfer between doctor and patient. His scientific experimentation led him to the conclusion that all changes in the hypnotized patient originated from the mind of the patient. The doctor, or hypnotist, was only responsible for helping the patient get to the required trance like state of consciousness.

Move Him Out Of The Way

Studies have shown that suggesting to a hypnosis subject under deep hypnosis that he feels no pain can actually bring about that status. There was a famous experiment involving a willing subject/patient. A minor surgical procedure was done on the patient without any anesthesia being used. All through the procedure, the hypnotized patient showed no signs of feeling any pain. Likewise, hypnosis has been scientifically proven to be of therapeutic value today in treating a number of different infirmities and conditions.

A skilled hypnotherapist is able to guide you to a deep, relaxing sleep. Your Conscious Mind is then moved out of the way. Utilizing verbal suggestions from the therapist, you then make contact with your Subconscious Mind. Without the interference of the Conscious Mind, the hypnotic suggestions are accepted as truth by your Subconscious Mind. Once this happens, the Subconscious Mind immediately goes to work on your behalf to make literal truth out of such suggestions. Your Subconscious Mind does not care in the least about the nature of the suggestion. If your Conscious Mind is not there to object, the Subconscious Mind accepts the suggestion as truth and proceeds to make it real.

First Convince, Then Experience

In order to bring forth your desired manifestation, you must get through the portal. The portal is that transition from your Conscious Mind to your Subconscious Mind. You must convince your Subconscious Mind that you are now experiencing your chosen desire. Once you convince, you will experience. Once your Subconscious Mind is convinced you have something, then through one means or another, you will subsequently have it in reality.

One proven way to get through the portal is via SATS. SATS is short for state akin to sleep. It is that netherworld when you are deeply drowsy but still conscious. It is that very relaxing time just before a nap or drifting off to sleep at night. You are relaxed to the max. Consciousness is about to tuck you in before you fall sleep. However, you are still conscious enough to use your Conscious Mind to create a vision. You are treading that fine line betwixt and between awake and asleep.

Waste Not, Want Not

Discipline yourself to start using this state akin to sleep to conjure up a desired reality for yourself. As you are floating in that netherworld, see, hear, feel, know your desire as real. When you are very tired and in that state, your natural desire is just to drift off to sleep. Make use of your SATS time to the fullest extent. Every moment of it that is wasted is equivalent to flushing money down the toilet. This is a golden time for you to engage in an action to manifest your desire.

SATS can also be called self-hypnosis. For example, you desire to go on a fishing trip, but life keeps getting in the way. Get yourself into a state akin to sleep. Create the vision in your mind. Have the pole in your hand. Hear the water splash up against the boat. Feel the sun as you stand in the boat and fish. Feel the fish as you catch them. Hear the reel of the pole as it unwinds. If you fish for food, taste the fish after you have cleaned and cooked it. Make it so real that you actually feel everything you would feel if actually fishing.

Doubt Is A Ship Sinker

After a session of self-hypnosis, your Conscious Mind will return. Consequently, it may even be a little annoyed that you pushed it out of the way. As a result, your Conscious Mind may start nagging you with logical reasons why your desire can’t possibly be fulfilled. It may present itself as your protector against disappointment and frustration.

One of the jobs of the Conscious Mind is to protect you from harm. It starts injecting different thoughts as to why your desire is out of bounds based on stored memories. When this happens, crowd out those different thoughts with thoughts of God – The One Universal and Perfect Mind. God is true peace. Your are a child of God thus you are an expression of peace. God is true power. You are a child of God thus you are an expression of power. And so on. Just start dwelling on God until those conflicting thoughts go away.

Depending on a number of different factors, the time factor for successful manifestation through using SATS, or self-hypnosis, can vary widely. If you commit to the process with all your heart however, you will ultimately bear fruit. Stick with it. Simply refuse to allow doubt to get any type of foothold on your ship. Scripture is crystal clear about doubt. I don’t care how good a person you are, if you continue to harbor doubts, your ship will sink. Universal Law is impartial.

Inspect Your Hand Closely

Stop for a moment and inspect one of your hands closely. Look at your palm. You see at the different lines in your palm. Take the forefinger of your other hand. Run it over your palm. Feel those lines that run across your palm. Feel the texture of the skin. Note the coloration of the skin. Next, place your hand upon your cheek. Feel the differentiation between all the fingers and the thumb. Take your hand off your cheek and turn it over.

Next thoroughly inspect the back of your hand. Likewise, notice all the features of the back of your hand. Inspect all the knuckles how they allow your hand and fingers to bend. Take your other hand and feel your fingernails. Rub the nails gently across the palm of your other hand. Tap the nails on something hard. Listen to the sound that they make. Rub the inside of your other fingers across the back of your hand. Feel the hair and the texture of the skin. There is not the slightest shred of doubt that this is your hand.

What you are going for during your SATS session is seeing and experiencing your desire with the same clarity with which you inspected your hand. It is called clarity of vision. You feel and see and hear your desire. You do not wish it was your hand. It is with certainty that you know it is your hand. That is what you want to impart to your Subconscious Mind when you are creating your vision in that deeply relaxed state.
